Hope for the Future Raffle - May 2010

Hope for the Future is established as a resource for donors to give eligible families tuition assistance, to provide funds to offer grants to Catholic Schools and to establish the Hope for the Future Endowment.
“Catholic Education is not only the best option, but also the most natural one for our Catholic community. The goal of Catholic Education is to assist parents in the formation of their children in moral and academic excellence.”
-- Most Reverend José H. Gomez
Archbishop of San Antonio

Steven Niño bought two raffle tickets and kept them in his wallet until he received the joyous phone call that he had won the Hope for the Future 2004 Cadillac. The Sedan de Ville was turned into tuition assistance thanks to the many generous people who tried their chance at winning it.

“We thank all those who supported our Hope for the Future Cadillac raffle. By putting their name in the raffle, these supporters contributed to helping more children in need receive a Catholic education,” said Julie Seguin, Hope for the Future Director.

Hope for the Future Board Bids Farewell to Archbishop José H. Gomez.
Hope for the Future Executive Board Members enjoyed a special breakfast with San Antonio Archbishop José H. Gomez on May 11, 2010, as an expression of both gratitude and steadfast support.  Along with a delicious breakfast prepared by Yolanda Deimel, board members recognized the strong leadership offered by Archbishop Gomez which led to the creation of Hope for the Future in 2006 and renewed their commitment to build and grow the program. Hope for the Future, just as it sounds, offers hope to countless families who are given tuition assistance to send their children to one of the 45 Archdiocese of San Antonio Catholic schools and hence provides them a better future.
